Diversity & Inclusion Pilot Programme

Diversity & Inclusion pilot programme:GLS is implementing a Diversity & Inclusion(D&I) pilot programme to strengthen its capacity towards D&1.

The project objectives are:

To identify the challenges of diversity and inclusion across a diverse group of civil society organisations and this will help identify which challenges are faced across the board and which challenges may be specific to a region or organisational size

Increase the diversity and inclusion capacities of the pilot organisations through a comprehensive response to a diversity and inclusion audit that includes additional resources for capacity strengthening trainings or programmes for the organisation.

Identify learnings ( both opportunities and failures) that we can capture and share with the wider alliance on how to work towards making civil society organisations more diverse and inclusive.

SHE LEADS Journal Issue 3

Dear Reader,
Welcome to our third edition of the She leads Diaries! Throughout the quarter, we continued to make girls and young women voices count in different spaces of power. This was both an exciting and challenging quarter. We started noting some signs that stuff would soon change. We mean cultural shift in target institutions at all levels :

SHE LEADS, GLS DIARIES

Dear Reader,

It’s hard to express gratitude and celebrate achievements in the shortest time of the She Leads life at GLS! Our achievements wont be just what we envisage in the next few years. Being part of She Leads is in itself the greatest achievement so far – a realization and affirmation that She Leads agenda is anchored on Girls and Young women, making them lead and be heard – an agenda that is not only in Uganda but also 9 states all over the continent. More to this, is that youth are being given a center stage in she leads consortium especially the Girls and young women-led organizations to work, learn, and have a voice within a broad spectrum of civil Society Organizations, and Political institutions.
