GLS Influence at Glance
SheLeads Advocates
Sustaining the influence of girls and young women in decision making through the She Leads Programme across the country.
CSOs Capacity Strengthening
We strengthen the capacity of girl and youth led organisation in advocating for girls rights and gender equality in all spaces.
GBV Advocates
GLS is part of the young women activists network on ending Gender-based violence (GBV). It is a manifestation of unequal power - a tool of women oppression
Diversity & Inclusion
Diversity & Inclusion is a strategy to ensure non discriminatory norms that encompasses all actions, programs and policies we implement.
GLS Program Areas

Education & citizenship
We advocate for implementation and integration of SDGs in school and community settings to impart knowledge, skills, attitudes that empower young people to act on issues facing their different environments where they live.

Gender Equality & Movement Building
GLS implements programs that create awareness about human rights issues to promote peace and tolerance in our communities and workplaces. We believe that equality and justice in any society can be achieved through fostering attitudes of tolerance, respect, solidarity, and tolerance.

Transformative Leadership and advocacy
One of the key gender norms hindering girls and young women's voices. Leadership and participation is the gendered division of roles, patriarchal attitudes and policy gaps. We use feminist lenses to transform social norms.

Life Skills Education & Planning
Youth are taken into sessions on life planning where they are helped to formulate, set goals and given life skills to achieve the set goals. The sessions address issues of sexuality, sexual reproductive health, healthy living, and career choices and how each issue affects their lives.
A girl’s first period is actually a crucial time for her to stay in school. As well as her education, it’s often the only place where she can learn about going through puberty and how to manage it.
